How to find the TAG ID of a TAG?

Each tag has its own unique TAG ID made of alphanumeric characters. You may require a tag ID when writing a script to perform custom operations while Accessing Advanced Customizations.

Use the following steps to find the Tag ID of a Tag,

1. From the Whatfix dashboard, click Tags.
   

2. Next to the tag whose ID you want, click the edit icon.
   

3. Click Copy ID.
   

The tag ID is copied to the clipboard and you can now paste it wherever required.

Note

The tag ID for a tag is displayed only if the tag is used in at least one Flow.
To view the tag ID you can also click the tag name (in step 2) and then view the tag in the URL. The last section of the URL is the tag ID.
