Whatfix enables you to add audios to a Flow step where you need to provide detailed explanations for the selected element or the action to be performed on the element.

Here's a short video on how an audio Flow appears to your end-users.

Any audio clip that you want to insert in a Flow step has to be first hosted in an online file hosting website like Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.

The audio file formats supported by Whatfix are .mp3, .AAC, .m4a, and .ogg .

Use the following steps to insert an audio clip in a Flow step,

  1. Log in to the application where you want to create content, and then launch the Whatfix Editor.
    CLM_editor plug in(2)

  2. Click Flow.

  3. Enter the name of the Flow as you want it displayed to an end-user.

  4. Click +Step.

  5. Click the desired element on the page that the end-user needs to select.

  6. Review/Edit the auto-generated action text on the step.

The maximum character limits for the Purpose and Description of the step are 200 characters and 400 characters, respectively. However, you can increase the character limits by contacting [email protected]

You can add audio clips to the Purpose of this step section as well.

  • To play the audio automatically when the Flow Tooltip appears on the element, click the Auto Play Audio checkbox.

  • When the Auto Play Audio option is disabled, the audio gets played only when the end-user clicks the play button on the Flow tooltip.

  1. Click Insert.

Once the audio is inserted, you can click it to see the edit options.

The Edit options you can choose from are:

  1. Click Add Step to finish creating the step, and then continue creating the Flow.
