Whatfix enables you to insert audio guides in Flow steps to provide detailed explanations to your end-users. You can insert any audio clip that is hosted on an online file-hosting platform like Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, etc.

Note

For more information, see Insert an Audio Clip in a Flow Step.

However, you cannot insert an audio link hosted on Google Drive directly to a Flow step. This is because, by default, the links generated in Google Drive have view-only access. To insert links to Flow steps, you need to convert the audio files to downloadable links.

Use the following steps to insert audio that is hosted in Google Drive,

  1. Navigate to the audio file that you want to insert in a Flow step.
  2. Right-click the audio file, and then click Get link.

  3. In the Get link pop-up, copy the link ID.

Note

A link ID in a Google Drive link is the part of the URL path between /d/ and /view?, as shown above.

  1. Append the URL ID to the following URL, http://docs.google.com/uc?export=open&id=
For example, if your URL ID is 1pwXfDYKbAR0LvyvIhTjyIrsnOFLwIBi-,
then after appending the ID to the link, the URL becomes:

  2. Copy the complete URL, and then paste it in the Insert Audio pop-up of the desired Flow step.

  3. Click Insert.
