Nested Grouping in Self Help

The ability to group content in Self Help helps you structure your content so that your end user can easily understand and navigate through the widget. Nested grouping enables you to extend the ability to group related articles together, improving your end user experience.

Each group can have multiple sub-groups. But a sub-group cannot have another level of grouping.

Creating a Nested Group

  1. Navigate to the Whatfix Dashboard.

  2. Click Widgets.

  3. Click the Self Help tile.

  4. Click the Segment you want to add the sub-group to.

  5. Click Create, and then click Group.

  6. Enable the Nest This Under Group checkbox, and then select the group you want to nest the sub-group in.

The Nest This Under Group checkbox appears only when you have an existing group in the segment.

  1. Click Save.

Adding Content to the Nested Group

  1. Once the sub-group is created, hover over the sub-group and click the Add icon.

  2. Select the content you want to add to the sub-group.

You can filter for content using the Search box.

  1. Click Okay.

Dragging and Dropping Content

You can also choose to drag and drop the content in/out of the nested folder.
