Whatfix Flows can be converted into multi-format outputs, like PDFs, videos, and slideshows. To make these additional formats possible, whenever you create a Flow, Whatfix captures a screenshot of each step you perform. These screenshots are used in different formats. If there are any sensitive pieces of information like username, password, email address, etc., in the screenshot you can hide them using the Black Out option.

The Black Out option hides sensitive information without impacting the tooltip and content.

The Black Out option works only when the Flow is exported as a multi-format output like a video, slideshow, PDF or an article.

Use the following steps to hide sensitive information,

  1. Click the Whatfix Editor plugin in the browser toolbar.
    CLM_editor plug in(2)

  2. Click Flow.

  3. Enter the name of the Flow as you want it displayed to a user.

  4. Click +Step.

  5. Click the desired element on the page that the user needs to select.

  6. In the editor, scroll down to the Advanced Options.

If the Advanced Options is not displayed, click the checkbox to enable it.
