This feature is applicable only for Self Help and Task List.
Yes, you can change the minimum threshold value for widgets to latch onto a window in a desktop application.
A minimum threshold value enables you to specify the dimensions of windows within a target application, ensuring that widgets only appear on windows that meet the specified value.
Whatfix Desktop widgets like Self Help and Task List are configured to latch onto any window in a target desktop application. This sometimes creates an issue, since these windows don’t just include app pages, but also error dialogue boxes, drop-down menus, and more as displayed in the following image.
To prevent widgets (Self Help and Task List) from latching onto unnecessary windows, content creators have to manually configure the widgets not to appear for every single window. However, this requires a lot of effort and time.
Whatfix Desktop enables content creators to choose a minimum threshold value for the size of these windows. After the threshold value is set, widgets like Self Help and Task List won't latch on to any window that is smaller than the defined threshold. Thus, they will only show up on windows above a certain configurable dimension.
The default minimum threshold value for the height and width of any app window is 400 each.
