Each tooltip must be appropriately placed so that it doesn't obstruct the end user's view of other important information on your desktop application. In most cases, the tip is auto-positioned by Whatfix in the best position. However, you can alter it using the position selector, if needed.
The position of the Tooltip can be changed in two ways:
-
Open the desktop application where you would like to create the Flow and then launch the Whatfix Desktop Studio.
-
Click Flow.
-
Enter the name of the Flow as you want it displayed to the users.
-
Click + Add Step.
-
Click the desired element on the page that the user needs to select.
-
Enter the action text and any additional information that you want to provide in the description section of the tooltip.
-
Under CONFIGURATIONS, choose the desired position of the tooltip.
Some positions may not be available based on the element's location on the page.
- Click Save Step to finish creating the step, and then continue creating the Flow.
-
On the Whatfix Guidance dashboard, click Content.
-
Click Flows.
-
Hover your cursor over the required Flow, and then click the Edit icon.
-
Go to the step and then click Edit.
-
Scroll down to the Position the Tooltip section.
-
Change the position of the Tooltip as needed.
-
Click Save Step.
