Embed SharePoint or Microsoft Stream videos to any Pop-up template to deliver more information to your users. The video can be embedded in the description section. For more information on Whatfix Pop-up templates see, Choose the Pop-up template.
Step 1: Get the video embed code
- SharePoint has two ways to upload videos. Using Microsoft Stream or using the local upload feature. SharePoint does not enable you to share videos that have been locally uploaded, outside SharePoint. Only those videos that are uploaded to Microsoft Stream can be inserted as video content on Whatfix.
- The end user needs to be permitted to watch the video based on the required permissions set in the video. The video will not load if the user doesn't have the required permission. Make a video viewable to everyone in your organization or individual users in the video permission.
-
Go to the video on Microsoft Stream and open it.
-
Click Share.
-
Click Embed.
-
Click the Copy button.
Step 2: Insert the video embed code in the Pop-up
Use the following steps to insert the video embed code in the Pop-up:

-
On the Add Component dialog box, click Video.
-
Click the embed code icon.

Paste the embed code and click Insert.
