Whatfix enables scheduling of Pop-ups:
To appear in a specified date and time window
To display repeatedly based on your defined frequency
This provides you more control to deliver announcements and alerts. Schedule Pop-ups by using one or more of start date, end date, users’ time zones, and number of occurrences over a period of time. View example use cases to better understand scheduling.
Use the following steps to schedule Pop-ups:
-
On the Whatfix Guidance dashboard, click Widgets.

-
Click Pop-ups.

-
Hover your cursor over the Pop-up segment you want to configure, and then click the Edit icon.

Info:
Whatfix also enables you to schedule a Pop-up during Pop-up creation.
Click Set Visibility Rules.

Click When.

Use the Start On and End On fields to set the start date and the end date.

Use the Select Time fields to set the start time and the end time.

Note:
The Pop-up appears only during the set time duration on the selected dates. For example, if you set the start time to 8:00 AM and the end time as 9:00 PM, the Pop-up appears daily between these times until the end date.
When users click Skip, Whatfix does not count it as an interaction. The Pop-up appears regardless of the set frequency.
In the Time Zone field, select the time zone you want the Start On and End On settings to follow. If your end users are in different time zones, then select the Use Local Time checkbox.

Info:
When you select Use Local Time, the Pop-up appears based on the local time of the users. For example, if you schedule the content for 1:00 AM to 2:00 AM, users see it when their specific time zone reaches that time. For a global audience, content delivery occurs over a 24-hour period. If you clear the Use Local Time checkbox, all users see the content simultaneously in GMT.
Note:
Once a Week means users view the Pop-up once per week within the schedule you set. A new week starts on Sunday at 12:00 AM by default.
Once a Month means users view the Pop-up once per calendar month within the schedule you set. The count resets at the start of a new month (the 1st, at 12:00 AM).
Weekly or monthly boundaries follow the Time Zone you select. If you enable Use Local Time, the weekly or monthly boundary is evaluated in users’ local time zones.
Frequency is only applied within the configured Start On and End On date range and the daily Select Time window.
Select the frequency to show the Pop-up.

Note:
To display the Pop-up a set number of times without using Start On and End On, go to Until and set the desired number of occurrences.
Click Finish later or Edit Pop-up:
Finish later: Saves the pop-up as Draft and marks it Inactive.
Edit Pop-up: Opens the Pop-up for you to make changes.
