Note:
Whatfix evaluates only one Smart Tip Collection per page at any given time. To show two or more Smart Tips on the same page, create them as part of a single Collection.
Whatfix also enables you to display multiple Smart Tip Collections on the same page. To enable this feature, contact support@whatfix.com.
Whatfix enables you to link videos to Smart Tips to engage users with a visual message.
Use the following steps to embed a video into an existing Smart Tip:
On the Whatfix Guidance dashboard, click Content.
Click Smart-tips.
Hover your cursor over the required Smart Tip collection, and then click the Edit icon.
Click on the individual Tip that you want to edit.
In the Rich Text Editor click the Video icon.
Click the URL icon and then enter the URL of the video in the textbox.
Click Insert.
Note:
When you add videos to Smart-tips, ensure that their maximum dimensions are within the width of 300px and the height of 200px.
Videos must follow an aspect ratio of 1.5:1.
Click Save.
Click Save.
Note:
Whatfix enables you to add videos on Smart-tips also through Studio while creating the content.
Whatfix enables you to add videos to your content by entering either the URL or the Embedded code or Browse option. The Browse option refers to the videos hosted on Whatfix Dashboard.
If you want the video to autoplay for your end users, click Autoplay while inserting the video.
