Consider that you want to highlight a new feature in your application using a Beacon. You want to show the Beacon to each user a few times during the first week, without being intrusive. For example, to highlight a new feature starting from July 12, you want users to see the beacon:
Once per day
For up to 3 days
Without configuring Set repeat and No. of times, the Beacon would appear every time the user loads the page, which can cause notification fatigue.
The new Visibility Rules enable you to specify exactly how many times and how often the Beacon appears. This ensures users see the feature as intended, maximizes awareness, and prevents notification fatigue.
Info:
Understanding how often the Beacon appears and how many times the Beacon shows up:
How often the Beacon appears:
Set repeat determines the time interval between each appearance of the Beacon for a user while the start conditions are met. For example, if the Beacon is configured to repeat once daily starting July 12, it appears once a day, even if the user refreshes the page multiple times on that day.
How many times the Beacon shows up:
No. of times defines the total number of times the Beacon appears to a user. For example, if No. of times is set to 3 starting July 12 and Set repeat is not configured, the Beacon appears on every page load until the user has seen it three times. This means a user might see all three appearances on the same day if they reload the page multiple times.
When enabled together, Set repeat and No. of times help you control both the frequency and total count of Beacon appearances, ensuring users notice the update without overwhelming them.
Use the following steps to show a Beacon multiple times using the Set repeat option:
Create the Beacon based on your requirements. For more information, see Create a Beacon.
On the Whatfix Guidance Dashboard, click Widgets.

Note
Ensure that you add an End Date and End Time to your widget to ensure that the it remains active only for the required time duration.
The Start and End times determine when your widget starts and stops appearing to your end users. If these values are not configured, the widget might remain visible beyond the intended timeframe. To configure a time duration for your widget’s daily appearance, use the Set interval option.

For more information, see Show content based on a specific date.
Enable the Set repeat toggle.
Using the How often should it repeat? dropdown, select Once daily.
