Google Analytics is a tool that helps analyze your website and app users. It provides valuable insights that can help you shape the success strategy of your business.
Sometimes, your organization may not want to track user activity in the app. For example, you don’t want to track admin user actions in the app. In such scenarios, pass code along with the necessary parameters.
The complete list of fields captured by Google Analytics is provided in the Fields Reference.
Use the following steps to disable sharing of Whatfix data with Google Analytics:
-
On the Whatfix Guidance dashboard, click Settings.
-
Click Analytics.
- Clear the Enable Google Analytics and Send All Events checkboxes.
Note
- Usually, organizations use these fields to pass User, User group, or User Role information. If these fields are unused, Whatfix uses the first field to send a User ID to identify end users.
- The User ID is a randomly generated unique string, and by default, this does not contain any Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
