Issue
Launcher latches to different positions of the selected element when the content is selected to appear at a particular location of the element.
Probable Causes
A Launcher may not appear in the selected position because of the following reasons:
- Variation in the screen resolution
- Wrong Display Rules have been added
- The configured CSS Selectors don't point to the correct element or are unable to identify the element.
Suggested Solutions
-
When selecting an element, ensure that you select the correct element and add appropriate Display Rules for the selected element to position the Launcher correctly. If you select an element and add Display Rules for another element, then instead of the selected element, the Launcher may get latched to a different element, resulting in it appearing incorrectly for the end user.
For more information on Display Rules, see Visibility and Display Rule Conditions. -
Use Other Element on page + Select Element conditions to ensure the Launcher appears on the selected element.
-
Use a CSS Selector that is unique to the specific element you want the Launcher to appear on. If the CSS Selector used for the element is not unique and is shared by other elements on the page, it can result in the Launcher not being displayed in the correct position. For more information, see Selected Element conditon rules.
