Article summary

Using the new Visibility Rules experience, Whatfix enables you to display a widget based on specific User Actions that your user performs. For example, if you use an application that deals with sensitive data that is related to contracts, you might want to notify your end users when they attempt to download the contracts and explain to them that it is against compliance and results in a security threat. Using User Actions, trigger a Pop-up when a user clicks the export icon and then displays a message that describes the impact.

Use the following steps to display a widget based on a User Action:

  1. In the Visibility rules section for your widget, click When does the pop up start and stop appearing?

  • Ensure that you push the User Action to Production.

  • If the linked User Action is deleted, the corresponding Visibility rule does not work.
