Manually link a Mirror screen

Whatfix Mirror enables you to manually link the captured screens. Create training simulations that replicate the user experience within a web application. This functionality becomes particularly valuable when dealing with scenarios where two or more interactive elements or UI elements need to be incorporated into a single Mirror screen.
For instance, you may want to hyperlink the home screen icon on all Mirror screens and to the home page of the web application in the Mirror.
Manually linking screens, ensures that your Whatfix Mirror behaves just like a web application, enabling users to seamlessly go between different sections of the simulated environment.
Use the following steps to add a Mirror screen to an existing Mirror folder:

Launch Whatfix Studio on your application.

Click Mirror.

Select the Mirror folder to which you want to add a new link.

Click the More icon.

Go to the Mirror screen to which you want to link, and then click Preview.

Click the link icon.

Click Select element.

Select the UI element to capture the screen.

Go to the subsequent screen you want to link.

Select the screen.

Click LINKED SCREENS to verify the linked screens.
To check the if the new link works, you need to refresh the page and then click the linked element to inspect if it works.
Use the following option to preview or delete linked screens.
- Click the Back icon to go back to the Mirror main page.
Screen linkages are automatically saved when you close the web page or click the Back icon.
