Recapture a Mirror Screen

Whatfix enables you to recapture a specific screen when the elements of an application change. Whatfix Mirror detects the screen where the element changes and links it to the previous and next screens. However, you must verify the screen links before you publish or share the Mirror Workflow.
Use the following steps to recapture a Mirror screen:
Launch Whatfix Studio on your application.
Click Mirror.
Click the Mirror Workflow that contains the Mirror screen you want to recapture.
Before you recapture, open the application page you want to capture. Go to the Mirror screen you want to recapture, and then click the More icon.
In the dropdown, click Recapture.
In the confirmation popover, click Recapture.
Note:
- A new tab opens and recaptures the screen.
- This action captures only the page visible when you click Recapture and does not include the associated UI element. You must select and link the element again after recapturing the screen..
Launch Whatfix Studio and select Mirror once again. The Studio editor displays the recaptured screen.
You can choose to link or verify the recaptured screen. Click the link icon.
Click Select element.
Select the UI element to recapture.
Go to the subsequent screen you want to link.
Select the screen.
Click LINKED SCREENS to verify the linked screens.

To check if the new link works, you need to refresh the page and then click the linked element to inspect if it works.
- Click the Back icon to go back to the Mirror main page.

Screen linkages and recaptures are automatically saved when you close the web page or click the Back icon.
