Whatfix Mirror enables you to add new Mirror Screens to an existing Mirror Workflow. This keeps your Workflow up to date as your application evolves, so your training continues to reflect the latest UI. When your application changes or adds a new step, you can capture the updated screens from that application and add them to the relevant Workflow.
For example, when your application adds a new step to a process, you can capture that screen and add it to the relevant Workflow so your training stays accurate.
Info:
If the underlying application screen changes, you do not need to add a new Mirror Screen. Instead, you can recapture the existing Mirror Screen to refresh its content and keep its place and connections to other screens in the Workflow intact. For more information, see Recapture a Mirror Screen.
Note:
Launch Whatfix Studio on the specific web application from which you want to capture new screens for your Mirror Workflow.
Use the following steps to add a Mirror Screen to an existing Mirror Workflow:
-
Launch Whatfix Studio on your application.

-
Click Mirror.

Click the Mirror Workflow where you want to add a Mirror Screen.

Click the More options icon.

Select where you want to add the new Mirror Screen. Choose one of the following:
• Add capture before: Select this option to add the new capture before the selected Mirror Screen.
• Add capture after: Select this option to add the new capture after the selected Mirror Screen.
Click Okay.

Note:
If you previously edited a screen, such as blurring an image, Whatfix automatically applies the same edits to any new screens you capture. For more information, see Edit and Manage Mirror Screens.
Select the UI element to capture the screen.

Note:
After you capture a new screen, Whatfix automatically links it to the existing screens in the Workflow.
Click the Back icon to go back to the Mirror Project view page.

Info:
To check that your new screens appear correctly in the Workflow, click Preview. For more information, see Preview a Mirror

Note:
Whatfix automatically saves the Mirror Workflow when you close the web page or click the Back icon.
