Introduction

Whatfix provides out-of-the-box Analytics for Whatfix Mirror that shows usage and engagement-related data in easy-to-understand visual formats like the number of user who launched the Mirror from from Task List, the number of users dropping off without completing the Mirror, and more.

However, you may want to create a custom report that shows data based on your business needs. For example,

• A Mirror launched by users using the Chrome browser

• Track the number of users who initiate the workflow and the number who successfully complete it.

Insights can be visualized in the form of charts.

• Eliminate the need for third-party applications and save time to create custom reports

• Drill down data at a user level.

• Draw detailed and in-depth reports on each content type

Understand the components of Trend Insights

Trend Insights are built using three main modules:

1. Events
2. User filter
3. User breakdown
   

Events

Events are triggered when your end users launch Whatfix Mirror.

User filter

Using the User filter module, limit the scope of the events based on different criteria. For example, for the Mirror start event, refine the results to show data only of those users who launched it from the Chrome browser or from a specific location.

User breakdown

Using the User Breakdown module, display data based on the various properties. For example, for Mirror completed event with User filter set as Chrome browser, configuring the Breakdown as City, displays the chart based on the location from where the Mirror was completed by users using Chrome browser.

Use Case

The following is a simple use case with Trend Insights:

• Analyze the number of users who started a Mirror using Chrome browser from any country

  The chart displays the number of users who launched Mirror in Chrome browser and are grouped based on the country they launched the Mirror from.

  Add the following event, filter, and breakdown in your Event Setup module to get this report.

  • Event: WORKFLOW_START_MIRROR

  • User filter: Browser = Chrome

  • User Breakdown: Country

  

• Analyze the number of users who visited the Mirror page using Chrome browser from any country
  The chart displays the number of users who launched Mirror in Chrome browser and are grouped based on the country they launched the specific Mirror screen from.

  Add the following event, filter, and breakdown in your Event Setup module to get this report.

  • Event: Page View

  • User filter: Browser = Chrome

  • User Breakdown: Country
