Copying a Summary Insight in the Enterprise Insights dashboard enables you to create a copy of an existing Summary Insight to add any new metrics, filter the required applications, and change the date. This minimizes time and effort by avoiding the need to create an entirely new Summary Insight to visualize it with updated parameters.
Copy Summary Insights in the following three ways:
Copy Summary Insight from the list view
Copy Summary Insight from within an existing Summary Insight
Save changes made to an existing Summary Insight to a new Summary Insight

Copy Summary Insight from the list view
Use the following steps to copy a Summary Insight from the list view:
- On the Enterprise Insights dashboard, click Insights.
Hover your cursor over the Summary Insight you want to copy, and then click the More icon.
Click Make a copy.

The copy of the Summary Insight gets created as Copy Of [Summary Insight name]. The copied Summary Insight gets created at the top of the list.
On the Insight created dialog box, click Go to insight and then edit the Insight as required.
Copy Summary Insight from within an existing Summary Insight
Use the following steps to copy a Summary Insight from within an existing Summary Insight:
- On the Enterprise Insights dashboard, click Insights.
Click the Summary Insight that you want to copy.
At the top, click the Copy icon.

The Copy icon is visible only if you don't make any changes to the existing Summary Insight.
On the Give your insight a name. pop-up, enter the name of the new Summary Insight.
Click Make a copy.

Once the new Summary Insight is created from the existing Summary Insight, on the Insight created pop-up, click Go to Insight to view and edit your new Summary Insight.
Save changes made to an existing Summary Insight to a new Summary Insight
While editing an existing Summary Insight, Whatfix enables you to save the changes to a new Summary Insight or save them in the existing Summary Insight.
Use the following steps to save the changes to a new Summary Insight from an existing Summary Insight:
- On the Enterprise Insights dashboard, click Insights.
Click the Summary Insight that you want to copy.
Make the required changes and then click Save as.
Info:
The Save as button is enabled only if you make any changes to the Summary Insight.
If you don't make any changes to the Summary Insight, only the Copy icon is visible.
On the Give your insight a name. pop-up, enter the name of the new Summary Insight.
Click Save as new insight.

A new Summary Insight is created exactly similar to the existing Summary Insight.
On the Insight created pop-up, click Go to Insight to view and edit your new Summary Insight.
Any changes made to an Insight that is part of Dashboards reflect in the Dashboards as well. If you don't want the changes made to the Insight to reflect in all the Dashboards it is part of, save the Insight as a copy without the changes. Use the copied Insight in other Dashboards, and changes made to this Insight do not impact the original Insight in the other Dashboards.
