Add a Dashboard to Overview

Dashboards in Enterprise Insights (EI) contain Insights that help you track adoption and DAP metrics across applications. By setting an Overview Dashboard, you can quickly access key data at a glance.

The following are the two types of Dashboards that you can set:

Personal overview dashboard: A Dashboard set as your Personal overview is visible only to you.
Default overview dashboard: A Dashboard set as the Default overview is visible to all users in the EI account.

You can either keep the Default overview dashboard or set your own Personal overview dashboard.

Info:

Changing the Default overview dashboard does not affect the Personal overview dashboard unless you manually select it as your Personal overview dashboard.

Note:

Set as default overview for everyone recommends that the dashboard be set as the Default overview dashboard for all users of the EI account. Other users of the dashboard can either choose to have their own Personal overview dashboard or have the Default overview dashboard chosen by you as their Overview dashboard.
Set as personal overview for me adds the dashboard as an Overview dashboard only for your profile.

Add a dashboard to the Overview section using the following three methods:

From the Overview section
From the Dashboards section
From an individual dashboard

Info:

Only one dashboard can exist in the Overview section.

From the Overview section

Use the following steps to add a Dashboard from the Overview section:

On the Enterprise Insights dashboard, click Overview.

Click Set an Overview dashboard.
In the Dashboards drawer, search for the Dashboard to add.
Hover your cursor over the Dashboard, and then click Set.
Select Set as personal overview for me from the dropdown.

Info:

Whatfix adds the dashboard as a Personal overview dashboard just for your profile.

Select Set as default overview for everyone to recommend the Dashboard as the Default overview dashboard for other users in the account.

Note:

Other users in the account with their own Personal overview Dashboard see a notification on the REPLACE button in the Overview section that enables them to switch to the Default overview dashboard set by you or use their existing Personal overview dashboard.
- On the New overview dashboard available dialog box, click Replace to switch the existing Personal overview dashboard with the suggested Default overview dashboard.
- On the New overview dashboard available dialog box, click Decline to continue using the existing Dashboard and not switch to the suggested Default overview dashboard.
- On the New overview dashboard available dialog box, click View dashboard to view the Dashboard.
View the labels reflected next to the dashboard as applicable.

Click REPLACE and follow steps 3 to 6 to change the Personal or Default overview dashboards.

From the Dashboards section

Use the following steps to add a dashboard from the Dashboards section:

On the Enterprise Insights dashboard, click Dashboards.

Hover your cursor over the Dashboard that you want to add to the Overview section, and then click the More icon.
Select Set as personal overview for me from the dropdown.

Info:

Go back to the Dashboards listing page to remove the Overview dashboard preferences.

Click Remove default overview for everyone to remove the dashboard as the Default overview dashboard.
Click Remove personal overview for me to remove the dashboard as your Personal overview dashboard.

From an individual Dashboard

On the Enterprise Insights dashboard, click Dashboards.

Click the Dashboard you want to add as an overview dashboard.
Click the Menu icon.
Select Set as personal overview for me from the dropdown.

Select Set as default overview for everyone from the dropdown to recommend the Dashboard as the Default overview dashboard for other users in the account.

Go back to the Dashboards listing page to remove the Overview dashboard preferences.
