Trend Insights and Funnel Insights represent two distinct methods for analyzing user behavior. Trend Insights examine how user behavior changes over time, while Funnel Insights illustrate how end users navigate through a specific sequence of steps.
Trend Insights enable understanding of long-term trends and patterns in user behavior. For example, Trend Insights track the growth of the user base over time and reveal how many users perform a certain action. Trend Insights also enable identification of opportunities for growth and improvement while providing insights into content performance over time. For more information on creating a Trend Insight, see Create Trend Insights.
The following example illustrates the appearance of a Trend Insight.
Funnel Insights enable understanding of how users navigate through a specific sequence of steps. For example, Funnel Insights track the conversion rate of users who sign up for the product and reveal at which step of a Flow users drop off the most. Funnel Insights enable identification of bottlenecks in the product and optimization of user flow for maximum engagement and retention. For more information on creating a Funnel, see Create a Funnel.
The following example illustrates the appearance of a Funnel.
The following table summarizes the key differences between Trend Insights and Funnel Insights:
