Download the XLIFF language file

BUWhatfix provides a customized XML Localization Interchange File Format (XLIFF) file containing all the details of your content, called the XLIFF language file. You can download an XLIFF language file either for all the content on your Dashboard or for selected content.
Use the following steps to download the XLIFF language file for all content:
If you are a Translator, start from Step 3.

On the Whatfix Guidance dashboard, click Settings.

Click Translations.
- Click the Download icon next to the language to which you want to translate your content.
If you have the new translation experience enabled, click the Download icon on the Translations page under the Languages section.

In the pop-up, select the .xliff file format.

Click Download.
The language files will be downloaded as a zipped folder. Unzip the folder to access the XLIFF language files.
Use the following steps to download the XLIFF language file for select content:

On the Whatfix Guidance dashboard, click Content.

Click All content.

Select the content you want to translate.

Click the Export language files icon.
If you have the new translation experience enabled, click the Download language files icon.

From the Translate in dropdown, choose the language you want to translate your content to.

Select the .xliff file format.

Click Download.
The language files will be downloaded as a zipped folder. Unzip the folder to access the XLIFF language files.
Use the following steps to download language files for select content:

In the Translations section, select the language.

In the dropdown, select the Content type.

Select the content for which you want to download language files.

Click the Download language files icon.

From the Translate in dropdown, choose the language you want to translate your content to.

Select the .xliff file format.

Click Download.
The language files are downloaded as a zipped folder. Unzip the folder to access the XLIFF language files.
