After updating the XLIFF language file with translated content, perform the following steps to upload the file to the Whatfix Dashboard:
If you are a Translator, start from Step 3.
-
On the Whatfix Guidance dashboard, click Settings.
-
Click Translations.
-
For the language you are translating to, click the Upload icon.
-
Click choose file.
-
From your local files, select the zipped language file.
-
Click Upload.
-
If the file is uploaded successfully, you receive a success email.
-
If the file fails to upload, a failure report is sent to you through email, and a confirmation pop-up appears on the Dashboard with details about content that could not be translated.
-
Translations can only be updated for content in the Draft and Ready stages.
-
The language file must be compressed into a zip file to be uploaded to the Dashboard.
