Automated CSS selector addition helps ensure that your content latches accurately to the intended elements, even when those elements do not have stable or unique identifiers. Instead of manually identifying and configuring CSS selectors, Whatfix automatically generates and applies a reliable selector when you select an element during content creation or troubleshooting.
Automated CSS selector usage reduces dependency on browser developer tools and speeds up resolution of element latching issues directly within Studio. This includes cases where elements fail to attach correctly or break after application updates. By enabling this feature, you can fix these issues faster and maintain consistent guidance without interrupting the workflow. For more information, see Fix CSS selector issues using Diagnostics.
