Whatfix enables you to upload PDF files to the Dashboard and insert them in Flows, Smart Tips, and other Whatfix content.
Use the following steps to upload a PDF file to your Dashboard:
-
On the Whatfix Guidance dashboard, click Content.

-
Click All content.

-
Click Create Content.

To view the content that you just created, go to the Draft Stage of the Dashboard.
Click PDF.

On the PDF pop-up, enter the Title and the Display Name.

Info:
Whatfix enables you to add a Display Name for your end users. Use the Content Name for internal tracking, such as region, role, module, or release codes.
Users then see the Display Name in the Self Help, Task List widgets and Exports. For more information, see Add a Display Name to Whatfix Content.
Drag and drop the PDF file from your local drive, or click choose file to select the PDF file from your local drive or library, or paste the PDF file as a Link.

Note:
Drag and drop or Browse option is not available for accounts with Self Hosted/ Export model.
Only PDF files that are less than 10 MB in size are currently supported.
Up to 2000 PDF files can be uploaded per ENT.
Add Search keywords and Tags to your PDF as required.

If your account has multiple Global tags, select the one with the highest value. For example, if the tags in your account are Global-Page, Global-Page_1, and Global-Page_2, content should be tagged with Global-Page_2. For more information on viewing the Global tags available in your account, see How can I view the Global tags created in my account?
Click Save.

Note:
To view the PDF file that you just created, go to your Dashboard.

A link is generated for the PDF file uploaded from your local drive or library. You can find this link inside the PDF content you created on the Dashboard. Insert the link in Flows, Smart Tips, and other Whatfix content based on your requirements.
Based on your hosting preference, the PDF file you upload to your Dashboard is stored on those specific servers; Whatfix cloud (Whatfix CDN servers), Self-hosted (for example, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Microsoft Azure), and On-premise (private and internally-owned servers).
