In-app Content: In-app content is any Whatfix content that is created using the Whatfix Desktop Editor on another application. In-app content needs access to the underlying application and requires element detection so that Whatfix can display specific content on specific elements on your application. The content is created and segmented before it can be delivered to the end-user.

Static Content: Static content is any content that can be created independent of the underlying application. This means that you do not need to access the underlying application as it does not require element selection using the editor. Static content can be created outside the application using the Whatfix Dashboard.
