Whatfix enables you to add triggers to the Smart Tips. Use Triggers to provide contextual nudges to your end users based on some criteria on the underlying application. Select the element and set the conditions based on the text, number, and date fields that are fetched from the underlying application to show a Smart Tip to your users.
For example, add text as a condition to show a Smart Tip only when that text is present on the application.
Use Cases
Show a Smart Tip only on a Specific day
You may have a Smart Tip with the information that needs to be shown only on a particular day. In such case, set the date as a Trigger condition and add the date on which the Smart tip should appear.
Show a Smart Tip only when a particular text is selected
There may be instances when a user should fill a field in a form based on the options they select from a dropdown. In this case, you may want to show a Smart Tip only when a user selects a particular option from the dropdown. This can be achieved by using text condition as a Trigger, where you can add the text and show a Smart Tip based on the text the user selects on the page.
Use the following steps to add a Trigger to a Smart Tip:

Go to the application where you want to create content, and then launch the Whatfix Desktop Studio.
-
Click Smart-tip.
-
