Article summary

Whatfix enables you to configure a Flow to play automatically based on an action your users perform on the application. When you link a Flow with a User Action, the User Action acts as a trigger and starts the Flow once the identified action is completed by the user.

Prerequisites:

  • Create User Action for the element that acts as a trigger. For more information, see Create a User Action.

  • Create a Flow that you want to run when the User Action is triggered.

Use the following steps to link a User Action to a Flow:

  1. On the Whatfix Guidance dashboard, click Content.
    ia_left_nav_content

  2. Click Flows.
    ia_left%20nav_flows

  3. Hover your cursor over the required Flow, and then click the Edit icon.
    Desktop_Click_edit

  4. Go to the step and then click Edit.
    Dashboard_flow_edit_option

  1. Scroll down to the bottom and in the Flow Trigger tile, click Add User Action.
    Dashboard_UA

  2. Select the User Action that acts as a trigger to the Flow using the dropdown.

  3. Click Save.
