The User Action Completion Rule is an action that your end users need to perform on the application to indicate the completion of that particular User Action. Whatfix Analytics captures User Action events only when the user completes the selected User Action.
The following is a list of User Action Completion Rules available and their corresponding use cases:
Completion Rule | Description and Use Case |
---|---|
Click on selected element | Action is marked complete when the user clicks on the element. This can be used when the User Action is created on a clickable button, link, or HTML element. |
Hover on selected element | Action is marked complete when the user hovers the cursor over the element. |
Typing text | Action is marked complete when the user stops typing for a couple of seconds. This can be used in text boxes where user inputs are required. |
Selection change | Action is marked complete when the user clicks the selected element in a drop-down or chooses from a set of options. This can be used when users are expected to select an element in a drop-down (in the collapsed state) or choose an option. |
On Keyboard | Action is marked complete when the user clicks the Enter or the Tab key on the keyboard. |
