Add a Survey to a Launcher

There are two ways of adding a Survey to a Launcher - either using a Survey link or directly attaching the Survey to the Launcher. Use the following ways to understand how to add Surveys to Launchers:

Sharing a Survey is part of the Premium plan. To enable this feature, contact support@whatfix.com.
Share a Survey functionality is available only in the Production stage.

Attach a Survey to Launcher

Create any Survey of your choice and add it to a Launcher. This approach works best for Surveys that are in Draft and Ready stages. For more information on Survey creation, see Create a Survey.

Here are the steps on how to add a Survey to a Launcher:

Log in to the application where you want to create content, and then launch the Studio.
On the Studio, click Launcher.

Enter a name for the Launcher Collection.

To create a Launcher, click +Add Launcher.
Select an element on the application where the Launcher must appear.
Under the Configurations section, click the Interaction dropdown.
In the Launcher Text box, enter the text for the button.
Note:
You can change the Launcher type. For more information, see how to customize a Launcher.
In the Launcher Actions section, using the dropdown, select the Open Survey option.

Click Attach Survey.
Add any Surveys in Draft or Ready stage and then click Save.

Attach a Survey as a Link to Launcher

You also have the option to add Surveys in production stage to a Launcher. Add them as links by using the following steps:

Create a Link for the Survey

Use the following steps to create a Link for your Survey:

On the Whatfix Guidance dashboard, click Widgets.
Click Surveys.
Click the Production tab.
Hover your cursor over the required Survey, and then click the Share icon.

Note:

The Share icon only appears for Surveys in the Production stage.

Click Add as link in Whatfix.
Click Next.
Enter a Title Prefix.
Info:
The prefix title distinguishes the Survey link from other links on the dashboard.
Click Add Survey.

View the Link that you just created in the Draft Stage of the Dashboard.

Attach the Survey Link to a Launcher

Use the following steps to attach the Survey Link to a Launcher:

Log in to the application where you want to create content, and then launch the Studio.
On the Studio, click Launcher.

Enter a name for the Launcher Collection.

To create a Launcher, click +Add Launcher.
Select an element on the application where the Launcher must appear.
Under the Configurations section, click the Interaction dropdown.
In the Launcher Text box, enter the text for the button.
In the Launcher Actions section, using the dropdown, select the Open Link option.

To attach the link, click + Attach Link.
Click Save.
