Introduction
With Beacon Analytics, find the engagement of your end users with the Beacons on your application. The Dashboard contains various Insights, such as Beacons displayed, Beacons shown, and more, to help you understand end-user engagement with Beacons.
The following functionalities are possible in the New Guidance Analytics Dashboard experience for Beacon Analytics:
View end-user engagement data for Beacons in easy to understand visual formats.
Understand the description of the metrics and the events that are used to calculate the metrics.
Add Filters, such as city, country, and more, to filter the data on the Dashboard.
Filter your data based on daily, weekly, monthly, or custom timeframes.
Add Event Filters to drill down on the event. For example, find the number of users who clicked a particular Beacon called New feature alert.
Add User Filters to filter the users who engaged with the content. For example, find the number of users who engaged with Beacons using the Chrome browser.
Change the chart type of the Insight, wherever applicable.
View top metrics, such as the date on which end users engage the most with the event or daily average of engagement, and percentage changes in end-user engagement.
Export the Dashboard.
Access Beacon Analytics
Use the following steps to access the Beacon Analytics Dashboard:
- On the Whatfix Guidance dashboard, click Guidance analytics.

Click Beacons.

Hover your cursor over the i icon to view the description of the Insight. For example, the description of Beacons loaded (by unique users) is the Total number of users for whom Beacons were rendered and visible to in a given time period.

Click the Menu icon, and then click Filter to view the User or Event Filter added to the Insight.

Click Event Filters and then click the metric.

Select any Event Filter, such as Segment Name, Content Title, and more. Event Filters help you drill down on the event. For example, analyze the number of users who engaged with a Beacon segment called Publish Changes Beacon. For more information, see Filter events using Event Filters and breakdown.

Click User Filters to filter users based on city, country, device, and more. For example, analyze the number of users who engaged with Beacons from the United States. For more information on User Filters, see Filter Insights data using User Filters and User Breakdown.

Click the Menu icon, and then click Chart type to change the chart type from the existing chart to your preferred chart type, wherever the option is available. For more information, see Understand Trend Insights.

Note:
Whatfix also enables you to perform the following actions:
Change the time frame of the data on the Dashboard.
Search for data in tables.
Download the chart. Click the Menu icon, and then click Download chart. Whatfix enables you to download table data also.
Filter the data on the Dashboard by browser, city, country, and more. This filter is applied to all Insights that are part of the Dashboard. The badge indicates the number of filters added to the Dashboard.
Export the Dashboard as a PDF to your local drive.
Whatfix enables you to export the Insights in the Dashboard using an API. This requires you to have the Insight ID, which you can find on the corresponding Insight on the Dashboard. Click the Menu icon, and then click the Copy insight ID icon. Contact support@whatfix.com to export the Insight using an API.
All the changes you make to the Dashboard, such as adding User or Event filters, changing the time frame, chart type, and more, are not saved to the Dashboard. The Dashboard is reset to its default state next time you access it. However, Whatfix enables you to export the Dashboard with the filters added.
Some metrics display the percentage changes (increase or decrease) in the end-user engagement. However, if there is no change in the engagement or metric data, it shows as NA (Not applicable).

Sometimes, content or widgets in analytics have a Moved badge next to them, which indicates that the content or widget has been moved from a particular stage. For example, a Pop-up in the Production stage may have been moved to the Draft stage.
The Deleted badge indicates that the content or widget has been deleted from the Whatfix Guidance dashboard.
Note:
By default, only data from the Production stage is shown. If you want to get data from other stages, you need to configure them on your Whatfix Dashboard. For more information, see Get Analytics Data across CLM Stages. Once you’ve configured the stages in Settings, see How do I get analytics data across CLM stages in the New Guidance Analytics Dashboard experience? to know how to get the data across stages in the new experience.
