Whatfix enables you to create a copy of a Pop-up and modify it.
A copy of a Pop-up can be created only in the widget section within the Dashboard.
Create a copy of a Pop-up
-
On the Whatfix Guidance dashboard, click Widgets.
-
Click Pop-ups.
- Hover your cursor over the Pop-up you want to copy, and then click the Copy icon.
- Whatfix content and widgets can be copied in Draft, Ready, and Production stages.
- The copy of the Whatfix content or widget is created with the title: Copy of <Content/Widget Title>.
-
Hover your cursor over the copied Pop-up, and then click the Edit icon.
-
Make the necessary changes to the Pop-up.
-
Click Set Visibility Rules →.
-
Set the Where Visibility Rules for the Pop-up to appear.
-
Set the When Visibility Rules for the Pop-up. For more information, see Schedule Pop-ups.
-
Click Finish later or Edit Popup depending on your preference.
- Finish later: Saves the Pop-up as Draft and marks it as Inactive.
- Edit Pop-up: Takes you back to the Pop-up where you can make changes.
You must push the copied Pop-up from the Draft stage or the Ready stage to the Production stage for it to appear on your application. For more information, see Push Whatfix content and widgets to Production.
To reset the Pop-up display count for all users, including those who have already seen it, create a copy of the existing Pop-up and roll out the copied Pop-up as a new widget. This instance will be treated as a new widget, ensuring it appears to everyone, even those who have seen the original Pop-up.
