The following are some key improvements in the New Guidance Analytics Dashboard:

Detailed metrics at both content and widget levels
Better filtering options to analyze specific user segments
Improved visualizations with multiple chart types
Enhanced export capability for sharing data with stakeholders
Option to copy Insight ID for use in API-based exports
What’s changed on the New Guidance Analytics Dashboard?
UI change | What’s changed? | New UI | Old UI | |
---|---|---|---|---|
Insight definitions | The insight definition summarizes the key data points captured, or explains what the metric is about. It is denoted by a small "i" icon next to the metric title.
| ![]() The i icon in the new UI defines what each metric is about.
| ![]() No clear definition of metrics in the old UI. | |
New metrics | There are new metrics at both the content and widget levels. For instance, you can check the Flows played report (by unique users), Flows played report (by total events), Flows exited report, Flows closed via tooltip report, and more for deeper insights. Check out the new metrics for the following on the New Guidance Dashboard:
| ![]() Detailed metrics at every content and widget level in the new UI. | ![]() Limited number of metrics available in the old UI. | |
New filters | Each metric can be analyzed at a granular level using User Filters and Event Filters.
| ![]() Filters on the new UI are categorized into User Filters and Event Filters. | ![]() The old UI only has Domain Filters. | |
Chart types | Chart types, such as Line, Area chart, Column, Horizontal bar, and more, help you visualize your data at a glance. These chart types do not exist in the old UI of the Guidance Analytics Dashboard. They help you quickly identify trends, compare different values, and understand the overall performance metrics displayed on your dashboard. The chart types can also be downloaded in a PNG format and shared with stakeholders. | ![]() A range of chart types are available in the new UI | ![]() Limited Chart types are available in the old UI | |
Download the dashboard as a PDF | Share your Whatfix engagement report with stakeholders by exporting it as a PDF. The EXPORT option is available across all dashboards. The PDF captures all the key data and visualizations, which can be viewed or presented offline. | ![]() Export PDF reports across dashboards. |

Download table data | The new dashboard also enables you to download the table data in a CSV format. You have two options for downloading the data: Current Page Data (data displayed on the current page) or Detailed insight data (a comprehensive download of all available data). For more information, see Download Trend Insights. | Download table does not exist in the old UI. | ||
Copy insight ID | If you want to export Insights using an API, you must have the Insight ID. Whatfix enables you to copy the Insight ID from the Insights or metrics added to the dashboard. To learn more about exporting Insights using API, contact support@whatfix.com. | Copy insight ID does not exist in the old UI |
