Content play state (or live state) refers to when Whatfix displays any content within your application. It’s the point at which users can see and interact with Whatfix content.
Sometimes, due to various reasons, such as application delays, page transitions, or reloads, this content play state may be cleared or reset. When the state is cleared, any active elements disappear and need to be re-triggered. This can cause issues with Flows breaking due to the content state clearing.
Delaying state clearance enables Whatfix to intentionally delay the clearing of the content play state. For example, if you have a Flow that goes through several pages in your application, delaying state clearance might be useful to ensure that the Flow doesn't fail due to application delays.
Use the following steps to delay state clearance for all Flows:
-
On the Whatfix Guidance dashboard, click Settings.
-
Click Advanced customisation.
-
Click Technical configuration.
-
Click Add preferences.
-
Click Flows.
-
Select the Delay State Clearence checkbox.
-
Click Add.
-
Enable the Delay State Clearence toggle.
-
Click Save.
