Whatfix retains five recently viewed contents in the Self Help segment as the search history. This history remains visible to end users for 90 days or until the browser cache is cleared; whichever happens earlier. For more information, see Understand how Search works in Self Help.
However, if you don't want the search history to show up in the Self Help, use the following steps to disable it:

On the Whatfix Guidance dashboard, click Settings.

Click Advanced customisation.

Click Technical configuration.

Click Add preferences.

Click Self Help.

Select the Self Help Search History Popup Disable checkbox.

Click Add.
-
Enable the Self Help Search History Popup Disable toggle.

Click Save.
