Whatfix Flows can be uploaded as a video to your Wistia or Vimeo accounts. This feature is useful to create video demonstrations or tutorials of the application for your users, within a short time.
Note:
- To add voiceovers to your Flow videos, see Add Voiceovers to Flow videos.
- Authorization of YouTube is no longer supported.
Use the following steps to give Whatfix access to your video platform:
- On the Whatfix Guidance dashboard, click Settings.
- Click Video channels.
- Select the video platform.

Wistia
- Click Wistia.
- Click the link to set the privacy level.Note:You need to be an Account Owner or Manager on Wistia to enable Whatfix to access Wistia.
Use the following steps to set the privacy level on your Wistia channel to ensure that only those users you choose can access the videos:- Log in to your Wistia account.
- Click Content Library and then select your FOLDER on Wistia.
- On the top right corner, click Share.
- Click Invite collaborators from the dropdown.
- Manage the user permissions on your Wistia channel as per your preference.
- Click Save.
- Log in to your Wistia account.
- Click Authorize.
- Log in to your Wistia account.
- Select a project from the dropdown to ensure the video is uploaded to the selected project after the Flow is published.
- Click SAVE.
Vimeo
- Click Vimeo.
Choose the privacy level.
Info:Choose one of the following visibility options on your Vimeo channel to ensure that only those users you choose can access the videos:- Nobody: Only you can view the video.
- Anybody: Everyone can view the video.
- Contacts: Only your contacts can view the video.
- Users: Only selected users can view the video.
- Disable: The video cannot be viewed.
- Unlisted: Only individuals with the link can view the video.
Click Authorize.
Log in to your Vimeo account.
Click Allow to permit Whatfix to access your Vimeo account.
Select a project from the dropdown to ensure the video is uploaded to the selected project after the Flow is published.
Click SAVE.
Note:
- Video channel authorization is a one time process.
- Once the channel is authorized, all the existing Flows get uploaded irrespective of the stages they are present in, that is, Draft, Ready, or Production.
- If you no longer want the Draft or Ready stage Flows after they are uploaded, you have to manually delete the video from your video channel.
- The next time you create a new Flow, you need to push the Flow to Production for Whatfix to upload the Flow as video to your video channel.

After authorizing your video channel, here's how to check the uploading status of your videos.
Understand video uploading statuses:
a. On the Whatfix Guidance Dashboard, click Content.
b. Click Uploading to check the uploading status.
Whatfix enables you to check the uploading status of the Flow videos.

Note:
- Your Flows are not connected to the videos on the video platform. If you delete your Flows or change the theme, it has no impact on the uploaded video.
- If you edit a Flow and save the changes, a new updated video is created only after it's published. However, the old video remains in the respective video platform. You have to manually delete or unlist it.
- When a Flow is translated, the video in the translated language is uploaded only when the content is published.
- When you translate content, Whatfix uploads a new video for the translated content as soon as it is published.
- If your video account is delinked from Whatfix, then any new Flows that are created are not uploaded to the channel. However, Flows that are already uploaded remain as they are.
