Image icons break for Smart Tips

Issue

You have added an image as the Smart Tip icon for your account, but it breaks over certain domains.

Probable Causes

• If you have used PNG icons instead of SVG icons, the image might break. Whatfix supports only SVG icons.
• Occasionally, you may have images hosted on public URLs, which may be the cause for the above issue if the domains are not whitelisted.

Suggested Solutions

• Whatfix recommends that you use SVG icons or convert PNG image icons to SVG and upload. For more information, see Icon Library Best Practices.
• If you have existing PNG icons in your account (used earlier), ensure you convert them to SVG and then host the image icons on Whatfix dashboard for future use.
• However, if you are using public images hosted outside of Whatfix, you need to whitelist the required domains to ensure that your application can communicate with Whatfix and fetch content for your end users to view, including icons, images, widgets, and more. • For instances where you may see the issue of image icon breaking for whitelisted domains, verify if the images have been replaced or removed from the server. Whatfix recommends that you switch to using SVG icons added to dashboard instead of hosting public URLs.
