Link a Flow to a Beacon

Whatfix enables you to link an existing Flow to a Beacon. End users have the option to either view the Flow or skip it. Linking Flows to a Beacon helps you provide additional guidance to your users.

Linking a Flow to a Beacon is a two-step process:

Step 1: Find the Flow ID that you want to link
Step 2: Link the Flow to the Beacon

Find the Flow ID

Use the following steps to find the Flow ID:

1. On the Whatfix Dashboard, click the Flow for which you want to find the ID.

2. On the top left of the page, next to the name of the Flow, click Copy ID.

Link the Flow to the Beacon

Use the following steps to link the Flow to the Beacon:

1. On the Whatfix Dashboard, hover your cursor over the Beacon collection in which you want to insert the Flow, and then click the Edit icon.

2. Click the Edit button on the Beacon you want to attach the Flow.

3. Select the text to which you want to link a Flow.

4. In the action menu, click the Insert Link icon.

5. In the URL field, enter the Flow ID in the following format,
wfx-{FlowID}
where Flow ID is the information copied in Step 2.

6. Click Insert.

7. Click Save Step.
