Whatfix Mirror enables you to create a Simulation that groups related Workflows into one connected training experience. A Simulation is a single unit that links several Workflows together, so learners move through them as one structured flow rather than completing each Workflow in isolation.
By default, Whatfix enables Playground Mode when you add Workflows to a Simulation. A Simulation serves two purposes depending on how you configure Playground Mode:
Playground Mode enabled: The Simulation links the Workflows so learners can move through them freely. This supports non-linear navigation, where learners can take different paths rather than follow a single fixed route.
Playground Mode disabled: The Simulation acts as a folder that groups related Workflows together and presents them to learners in a fixed sequence.
For more information, see Understand Playground Mode and Disable Playground Mode.
For example, you can group onboarding Workflows into a Simulation with Playground Mode enabled, so learners move between them in any order. If you want learners to follow a specific onboarding path, you can disable Playground Mode so they complete each Workflow in sequence.
Note:
Only users with Account Manager and Content Manager roles can access and view the Whatfix Mirror Dashboard. For more information, see Whatfix User Roles.
Use the following steps to create a Simulation and add Workflows to it:
On the Whatfix Mirror Dashboard, click Create simulation.

In the Create simulation dialog box, enter a name for the Simulation.

Click Create.

Select the Workflow(s) that you want to add to the Simulation.

Click Move to Simulation.

Click the Simulation where you want to move the selected Workflow(s).

Click Move.

Note:
The following image shows how Workflows appear inside a Simulation.
Note:
Whatfix enables you to add an Assessment to a Simulation to evaluate learner proficiency on Workflows. Additionally, you can set a Pass criteria for Assessments. For more information, see Assessments in Whatfix Mirror and Create an Assessment.
