Smart Context is a Whatfix feature that facilitates automatically segmenting content and widgets. Smart Context must be configured on your application by Whatfix as per the application’s design.
Ensure that Smart Context is configured on your application before you start capturing Mirror screens. If you are using Playground Mode, Whatfix Simulation relies on Smart Context to automatically link all the Workflows within a Simulation.
The following scenarios may involve finding out whether Smart Context is enabled:
- Content not showing up in Self Help
- Content not appearing in Self Help when searching
- Unable to add a Tag to content
Use the following steps to check whether Smart Context is configured on your application:
-
Go to the page in your application where you want to check the Smart Context configuration.
-
Open your browser's Developer Tools.
-
Go to the Console tab.
-
Type _wfx_show_sc_config(); and press Enter.
After entering the command to show the Smart Context configuration, your application should be highlighted with several colored boxes. This may take a few seconds to load.
Each box highlights an element in your application. The color of the box is associated with an Auto Tag.
While selecting an element during content creation, Smart context identifies which element you have selected, and automatically tags your content with the associated Auto Tag.
In the console, click Capture time page tags to expand its output and see which Auto Tags are part of this page.
The output contains the following information:
- conditions: The Visibility Rules attached to the Tag.
- description: The color of the box associated with the Tag.
- name: The name of the Tag.
