Whatfix enables you to publish Mirrors to provide your learners access to a simulated environment without granting direct access to the application. This enables a safe, realistic user experience for training, testing, and demonstrations.
Whatfix Mirrors function independently of the Whatfix Digital Adoption Platform (DAP), so your learners do not need to install or embed Whatfix to interact with the Mirror. However, if the Mirror contains DAP Guidance, Whatfix is required. For more information, see DAP Guidance on Mirror.
Note:
Whatfix Mirror supports end-user authentication through Single Sign-on (SSO) for learners managed in your Identity Provider (IdP), Email-Based Authentication for external learners outside your IdP, or both. When no authentication is configured, the Mirror is publicly accessible. For more information, see Set Up End-User Authentication and Set Up Email-Based Authentication.

Publish a Mirror Simulation
When you publish a Mirror Simulation, all included Workflows become available together as a single, end-to-end learning experience, preserving their sequence and structure.
When you publish a Mirror Simulation, learners can access the included Workflows based on the Playground Mode configuration.
When Playground Mode is enabled (default): Learners experience all included Workflows together in sequence as a single end-to-end learning experience.
When Playground Mode is disabled: Learners access each Workflow individually.
Use the following steps to publish a Mirror Simulation:
On the Whatfix Mirror Dashboard, go to the Draft stage.

Select the Simulation(s) you want to publish.

Click Send to Ready.

Note:
If you have not configured Single Sign-on (SSO) for Mirror, Whatfix displays the following message when you try to move Mirrors to the Ready stage:

If you choose to move Workflows and Simulations without configuring SSO, the links generated are public and anyone with the link can access its contents.
If SSO is enabled for your account, users have to provide their login information and sign in before they can access the Mirror.
