Insert a step after Flow creation

Article Summary

Whenever there is some minor change to your application, you need not recreate content. You can make the incremental change by inserting a new step to make the Flow current again.

Use the following steps to add a step to an existing Flow:

  1. On the Whatfix dashboard, hover your cursor over the Flow you want to edit, and then click the Edit icon.

  1. Click Launch live edit.

  2. Once the application launches, on the Studio, click the ellipsis icon on the step where you want to add a step.

  3. Using the dropdown select the relevant option.

  • Add Step Before: This option enables you to add a step before the existing step.
  • Add Step After: This option enables you to add a step after the existing step.

  • You can also copy a step from another flow. For more information, see Copy Flow Steps.

  • You can also create a branch and guide end users through several possible options. For more information, see Add a branch to a Flow.

  1. You can then select the element on the application, enter the step description, and other information.
  2. Click Save Step.

  3. Repeat steps 3 to 6 to add additional steps.
  4. Once all the steps are captured, click Save Flow.
