It is not possible to filter or determine the specific stage at which content belongs, hindering accurate insights. The impact of content updates in one stage can have an affect content analysis in other stages, which further complicates the process.
Whatfix Analytics enables you to filter analytics data based on stages, so users can effectively examine and analyze data about their desired stages of interest. This CLM-based filtering feature applies to all analytics dashboards, empowering users to gain valuable insights specific to each stage and optimize their content management strategies accordingly.
By default, you can only see the data for all content and widgets in the Production stage.
Use the following steps to get analytics data from different stages:
-
On the Whatfix Guidance dashboard, click Settings.
-
Click Analytics.
- In the Show data from these stages section, select the stages from which you want to see the data.
- You cannot disable the data from Production stage.
- The configuration made here is also reflected in the Insights dashboard.
- If you are using the Javascript mode of deployment to publish Whatfix content, ensure that you select the Ready stage checkbox. Selecting this stage enables you to view the respective analytics data until you embed the Deployment Script in the production instance of your application.
Ready includes data from only the Ready stage, however, to enable more accurate data collection, it contains the count of content or widgets in the Draft stage as well.
Engagement with content generates events for the specific stages that the content is present in at that time. The respective events show up based on the time range of the query and the stage filter that is set.
-
Content moved from the selected stage has a Moved badge next to it.
-
Content deleted from the selected stage has a Deleted badge next to it.
