You can disable Whatfix Analytics on specific domains or environments on the Whatfix Dashboard itself without using any Advanced Customization (AC) code. You can add the URL Hostname of the domain on which you don't want to track Analytics. Once the condition is satisfied, Whatfix blocks the Analytics data from getting captured on the particular domain.
Use the following steps to disable Analytics on specific domains:
- On the Whatfix dashboard, at the top right, click the Settings icon.
Click Analytics.
Enable the Block analytics data from specific environment checkbox.
Under the Exclude section, select the URL Hostname condition using the dropdown.
Select the operator.
For more information on the different operators, see Visibility and Display Rule Conditions.
- Enter the URL Hostname of the domain you want to exclude.
The following image shows the URL Hostname of a domain.
You can add more conditions by clicking the + icon.
If you've added any AC code to disable Analytics, Whatfix recommends you remove the existing code and use the URL Hostname based blocking.
Once you disable Whatfix Analytics on specific domains, the tracking of Goal Management is also disabled for the domains.
