Note:

- Adding Cohorts as Visibility Rules to target Whatfix content is supported in Whatfix cloud and Self Hosting or Export deployment modes. However, it is not supported in On-premise deployment mode.
Introduction
Create a Cohort to group users based on their behavior on the application. Using these Cohorts, Whatfix enables you to target Whatfix content and guide them along the right path. This process involves including a Cohort as a Visibility Rule to display or hide a Whatfix widget.
Use cases
- Group end users who spend more than 2 hours within the application and log in for 5 consecutive days as power users, displaying a Pop-up of Keyboard shortcuts.
- Display an Onboarding Task list to new members of the Sales team.
- Display a Smart tip to all users except test users.
Use the following steps to add a Cohort as a Visibility Rule:

- Before adding a Cohort in Visibility Rules, ensure that you create the Cohort with the relevant conditions. For more information on creating a Cohort, see Create a Cohort.
- Create a Cohort of users completing or dropping off from a Funnel and target content for these Cohorts. For more information, see Create Cohorts from Funnel Insights.
- Create a Cohort which contains a User list to target Whatfix content to a specific group of users. For more information, see Create a Static Cohort (User list).
- In the Set Visibility Rules section of the widget, select the Users option.
Note:
If you're using the New Visibility Rules to set up a Cohort as a Visibility Rule, see Set Who can see your Widget.
Select the condition using the following information:
Condition Description Belong to Users who are part of the Cohort. Do not belong to Users who are not part of the Cohort. 
For example, show a Pop-up to all users except new users. Set the condition to show the widget to Users who do not belong to the New User Cohort.
Select the required Cohort.
Note:
Cohorts created from Funnel Insights and Cohorts created with User lists can be added as Visibility Rules to target Whatfix content.
- Configure additional Visibility Rules, if necessary, and save the widget.
- Preview the widget using the Preview mode and push the widget to Production.

Note:
If you’ve added a Cohort as a Visibility Rule, the Cohort is refreshed in real time. When a user is added to or removed from a Cohort, Whatfix immediately evaluates the visibility of widgets for the user.
