Issue
You tried to uninstall the Player using the Command Prompt, but the process was incomplete, and some files still remain in the LocalAppData of your computer.
Probable Causes
Some of the possible causes for an incomplete uninstallation of the Player may be:
- You may have used the wrong uninstallation command, that is, you used the .msi command for an .exe file of the Player, or vice versa
- You may have used an older version of the installer to uninstall the Player
Suggested Solutions
Use the following methods to remove the residual files of the Player from your computer and complete the uninstallation process:
- Check if you have the .exe or .msi version of the Player installed, and use the respective uninstallation command. For more information, see How to uninstall the Whatfix Desktop Player?
- Delete the Whatfix Player files located in the LocalAppData of your computer manually.
- Install the Player using the latest installer, then execute the uninstallation command again. For more information, see How to uninstall the Whatfix Desktop Player?
