Edit a Cue

Whatfix enables you to edit Cues inside a collection both during creation and post-creation.
Make the following changes to a Cue inside a collection:
Edit the heading
Update the description
Edit the buttons
Update the Visibility Rules
Delete a Cue from the collection
Expand the following accordions for more details:
During Cue creation using Whatfix Studio
Use the following steps to edit a Cue while creation:
On the Whatfix Studio, click the Cue you want to edit.

Under CONFIGURATION, make the required changes. For more information, see Create a Cue.

Click VISIBILITY RULES, and then make the required changes. For more information, see Understand New Visibility Rules for Content.

Click Save.

Edit the other Cues in the collection as required.
Edit the Visibility Rules of the Cue collection as required.

Click Save to save the Cue collection.

Note:
After editing the Cue, publish the Cue collection to make the changes live on the application. For more information, see Publish a Cue collection.
Post Cue creation using the Whatfix Guidance Dashboard
Use the following steps to edit a Cue inside a collection after Cue creation:
On the Whatfix Guidance dashboard, click Content.

Click Cues.

Hover your cursor over the Cue collection, and then click the Edit icon.

Under Cues, click the Cue you want to edit.

Under CONFIGURATION, make the required changes. For more information, see Create a Cue.

Click VISIBILITY RULES, and then make the required changes. For more information, see Understand New Visibility Rules for Content.
Note:
These Visibility Rules apply only to that specific Cue.

Click Save.

On the Cues edit page, click Visibility rules and edit the Visibility Rules for the Cue collection.

Note:
These Visibility Rules apply to the entire collection.
The Visibility Rules for the Cue collection takes precedence over the Visibility Rules configured for a specific Cue part of the collection.
Click Details and then edit the name of the Cue collection.

After making the changes, click Save.

Note:
After editing the Cue, publish the Cue collection to make the changes live on the application. For more information, see Publish a Cue collection.
Post Cue creation using Launch live edit
You may need to use the Launch live edit option to add new Cues to the collection.
Use the following steps to edit Cues using Launch live edit:
On the Whatfix Guidance dashboard, click Content.

Click Cues.

Hover your cursor over the Cue collection, and then click the Edit icon.

Click Launch live edit.

Once the Studio launches on the application, click the Cue you want to edit.

Make changes to the existing Cues in the collection or add a new Cue, and then click Save.

Click Save to save the Cue collection.

Note:
After editing the Cue, publish the Cue collection to make the changes live on the application. For more information, see Publish a Cue collection.
