Use images to make your Whatfix Content more engaging. Whatfix enables you to upload images to the Dashboard and then insert them into Flows, Smart Tips, and more.
Use the following steps to upload an image to your Whatfix Guidance Dashboard:
- On the Whatfix Guidance dashboard, click Content.
- Click All content.
- Click Create content. - Note: - To view the content you just created, go to the Draft stage of the Whatfix Guidance Dashboard.
- On the Image dialog box, enter the Title.
- Drag and drop the image from your local drive, or click Browse to select the image from your local drive or library, or paste the image link. - Note: - Drag and drop or Browse option is not available for accounts with Self Host or Export Model.
- Whatfix supports only .JPEG, .JPG, GIF, and .PNG image files that are smaller than 10 MB.
- Upload up to 2000 images (including all file versions) per Account.

- Add Image Alternative Text. - Note: - To ensure your images are accessible to screen readers, always add alternative text. Screen readers assist users with low vision needs, and also describe the image if it fails to load properly. For more information, see Accessibility in Whatfix.
- Add search Keywords and Tags to your image as required.
- Click Save Image.
Note:
View the image content you just created in the Draft stage of the Dashboard.
Whatfix generates a link for images uploaded from your local drive or library. Access this link inside the image content on the Dashboard, and then insert it in your Flows, Smart Tips, and more.
By default, Whatfix stores images uploaded to your Dashboard on the Whatfix cloud. To host images on your preferred servers, see Self Host or Export Model.
