Edit Text on a Mirror Screen

Whatfix Mirror enables you to edit text on the captured Mirror Screens. Use the functionality to modify placeholders, labels, or instructions within mirrored screens to suit your training needs.

For example, change the “Leads” tab label to “New Prospects” on a Salesforce dashboard so sales teams train with the terminology from the latest application release.

Use the following steps to edit text on a Mirror Screen:

  1. Launch Whatfix Studio on your application.

  2. Click Mirror.

  1. Click the Mirror Workflow that contains the Mirror Screen you want to edit.

  2. Click the Mirror Screen you want to edit, and then click the More icon.

  3. Click Preview.

  4. Click the Edit icon.

  5. Select the text you want to edit.

  6. Rename the selected text in the text box.

Based on your requirements, you can choose to:

  • Replace selected text: Replaces only the selected text on the current Mirror Screen.
  • Replace all instances on this capture: Replaces the specified text across all such instances on the current Mirror Screen.

Note:

When you replace text, you permanently update the text on the Mirror Screen. You cannot restore the original text after you apply the change.

  1. Click Replace.

  • Preview the Mirror Screen to verify the end-user experience before you share the Mirror Workflow. For more information, see Preview a Mirror Screen.
  • After confirming the end-user experience, publish the Mirror Workflow. For more information, see Publish Whatfix Mirror.
  • Once published, share the Mirror Workflow with your end users. For more information, see Share Whatfix Mirror.
