Edit an Auto-Created Flow

Prev Next

Whatfix enables you to edit an auto-created Flow using Launch live edit while the Flow stays in sync with its Workflow. When you add or delete a step in the Flow, Whatfix updates the Mirror Workflow to match. For more information, see Flows: Step Level Configuration.

For example, you can add a Flow step for each input field on a form in an employee onboarding Mirror Workflow. Learners then receive guidance on every field of the form.

Note:

  • You can edit an auto-created Flow directly in the Draft and Ready stages. To edit an auto-created Flow in the Production stage, you must first create a new version of its Mirror Workflow in the Draft stage.

  • To create a new version, use Edit in Draft on the Mirror Workflow from the Whatfix Mirror Dashboard. If you use Edit in Draft on a Production auto-created Flow from the Whatfix Guidance Dashboard instead, the sync with its Mirror Workflow breaks and cannot be restored. For more information, see Auto Flow Creation.
